作者簡介
Carol Packham
任教於英國 Manchester Metropolitan University，為該校 Community Audit & Evaluation Centre領導，主持” Youth and Community Work”計畫，有多年參與社區活動經驗，培訓社區青年與社區工作者進行參與研究。目前是一個青年自願組織的共同管理者以及社區論壇的副主席。
《Active Citizenship and Community Learning》是”Empowering and Community Work Practice”系列叢書之一，特別由youth and community work degrees支持撰寫，這本書探索，在社區組織參與、學習等面向，社區工作者的參與角色，著重在政府強化公民與社區，本書提供了社區成員、志工，協助社區工作的運作方向、框架，亦關注在這之中可能出現的困境，給予反思策略，以及有效的實踐。
